Bad cables are your problem. The connections are overheating and melting things. Replace these cables and the FNR switch and then you should be fine again.

Ok, you have a slightly upgraded controller. You are running a 300 amp vs the stock 225-250 amp unit. Especially with that motor, I recommend at least a 4ga cable set and a HD F-R switch, or better yet, a reversing contactor

OK new HD f&r replaced all 4 cables coming off motor. Keep fingers crossed that this will hold up.
