Uncommon key for precedent or DS ??

I need to replace a key switch for a customer, and he wants to use the same key he currently has .

His key is a 1B ??? I see i can buy key switches that say "uncommon" on them, but all those come with key "1A".

Can someone tell me where to get a key switch and keys that say "1B"??

Ask him has he had a switch put in the cart personally. If so he will have to get a new key. The factory keys will work in any cart.

If you buy a new key switch it should come with 2 keys.

Andy, there is a difference between common and uncommon keys and key switches. They are not even close to each other.

If you search, you will see uncommon switches that come with keys !A. I have come across 2 so far that have keys 1B, So they are available somewhere.

This guy bought a refurbished cart somewhere, and doesn't remember where

Andy, where you been? I haven't seen a post from you in more than a year?

Then why does he want to keep his key so bad? Why would you not want to get a new one and just have it personallized. Just be done with it. What so great about the key he has now!

I have an uncommon 1D key switch on my gasser, I bought it from my CC dealer before I knew about BGW's fine sponsors!

I'd find a BGW sponsor that carries uncommon key switches, and CALL them to see if they have a 1B for a sparky!

First, Sergio, where in the heck did you find this chart?? You always amaze me

This customer is very elderly guy that has a crazy custom club car. He also had custom keys made to fit his key switch. The keys have a custom "head" at the end, that is sentimental to this guy. The body of his key says 1B.

Well, his switch needs replacing, and he wants to use his existing keys

I wasn't aware of all these different key variations before i saw this chart from Sergio.

I don't think the sponsors carry any other than the 1A, . So I guess I will contact an out of state CC dealer and see if i can order the one i need.

We have a local CC dealer, but most people won't use him, including me. I go out of state and pay shipping.

Thanks for your time guys. What a hassle this guy is.

Now, be nice to him. one day you may be a pain in the a$$ to someone. I would hope they would be nice to you. Everytime i run accross someone older that is like that i just say i hope to get to be your age. That makes them feel better.
