Default Run Tow switch test

Is there a way to test the run tow switch?

2003 48 v ds ser # AQ 0337 321701

Intermittent go no go problem. Ruled out the MCOR by switching it out with a good one. When everything works the solenoid clicks in with solid click. The run tow switch feels loose and sloppy doesn't switch smooth and positive.
When the cart is dead and you switch to the tow position the cart runs.
I think the switch is bad just don't know how to test it and don't have one to change it out with to confirm my thoughts or rule it out.

Unplug it. When it's unplugged the car shouldn't run, as if it was in TOW.

Jump the two pins on the connector with a paperclip and it should run as if it was in RUN. If your problem still exists with the jumper in place, the switch is not your problem.

Well it was running in the tow position so the switch must be bad.

I did use the paper clip jumper and everything seems to work fine. I'll get a new switch.

Thanks Tahoe

A paper clip jumper. I love these pearls of wisdom.
