Battery help
This is my first club car. Actually my first golf cart. I put 4 new trojan T 125 batteries in it. It is a 2006 club car precedent. Very good shape. Lifted with 22 inch tires. Has the better magnet in the motor but that's it. My question is. After the charger cuts off. I always check each battery with my volt meter. Is has 4 12volt batteties. 3 of them read 12.89volts and the other battery, same one every.time, always reads 12.78. Is this ok or is there a problem. Runs fine . Im just not familiar with these. Thanks and I love my club car.

Re: Battery help
They are probably T-1275 batteries and if your measuring them right off the charger the voltage is going to be high and level off after sitting for a while. Its normal for them to differ withing a couple 1/10ths.

Re: Battery help
Thanks I meant T 1275 sorry. I just thought it was strange that 3 of them were exactly the same and one was different. But they check the same every time. Thanks

Re: Battery help
According to the sticky, 12.73v is considered 100% charge for a 12v battery:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...tml#post153082 The consistent lower finish voltage on that battery could be the result of tapping 12v for lights or other accessories. You may want to put a 12v car charger just on that battery before (or after) charging the pack until it gets more in balance with the other ones. |

Re: Battery help
What to they read after they sit for a few hours after completing charge? What to they individually read after you have driven the cart. It is not that unusual for some batteries to read slightly different than others. There is some variability in capacity from battery to battery so the state of charge when the charger finishes is not all equal. That is why chargers are designed to overcharge the batteries some. That does not hurt FLA batteries - just consumes water. The batteries that reach full charge first will gas more than the others and need more water.
