Default Stuck without a ride! Precedent lurches then rolls to a stop

Sorry for redirecting a thread earlier. I've read a bunch of posts but cant find one exactly like my issue. Today my precedent backed out of the garage just fine, switched to forward and started to move then all of a sudden jerked then slowly rolled to a stop moving only about 12 feet. If I flip the run/tow switch a couple times then turn the cart on itll work for about 15 yards at very low speeds before it again comes to a stop. Eventually it's become entirely unresponsive. My 8 volt batteries all read 7 then at full charge the whole pack read 53. My lights, backup buzzer and the radio work just fine. I've tried to reset my OBC a couple times and it doesn't seem to help. One of the cart shops here thinks it is my mcor but I'm hope ing its something simple/easy I can fix tomorrow because my family arrives in town Monday and driving the cart in sunny Florida is a nice break from their Midwest winter. Thank you!

if your 8 volt batteries ever read less than about 8.066 at rest. You have either discharged them too far or they are due for replacement.

Start by checking the condition of you batteries.

Revolution, I figured out how to properly use the meter. At full charge all batteries are reading 8.5 to 8.6. Any thoughts on a next step? Could a short to an accessory be throwing the cart in to some sort of shut down? Maybe the running flasher from when the cart was in Georgia needs to be entirely disconnected back where the solenoid is located? Clearly I'm just guessing.....

It sounds like your MCOR is going. The Micro switch inside the MCOR can act up, work then not work. It would feel like a car jumping out of gear at takeoff.

Could be other issues but I'm going with MCOR.

For your quick fix do this:

Remove the top plug from your MCOR, it will be two wires, NOT the three wire plug.
You can use a larger paperclip and place into the two holes of that plug and tape it in place. If it's your MCOR you should not have that issue any longer. Try and leave the ignition off as much as possible when not moving or using your cart. Once the family leaves your can remove the MCOR and replace it with another one.

That is EXACTLY what it feels like. The cart will run for a while at a crawl with the accelerator barely engaged then when I try to get it up to speed it feels like its jumping out of gear. Is the Mcor something I can electronically reset or is it like my old jeep solenoid in that I can remove it and give it a couple whacks with a wrench to bring it back to life or is it a part that can be repaired? Hopefully its not a throw away/replace deal considering I need it operational tomorrow.

It's not resettable. There is a thread/sticky that shows how to open, replace the micro switch that you could order, and reseal it but it's normally an item that needs to be ordered and replaced.

If you remove your rubber mat you'll see an access panel door. Lift it up and the top plug of the MCOR is right there. Try the paperclip first to make sure that it IS THE MCOR first before replacing it.

When I had my cart up at property we owned in RR the MCOR acted up real bad. I spliced in, (not recommended,) a toggle switch switch that I could turn on and off whenever it acted up. When the cart kicked out I would flick the switch and away I went. When I got the cart home I removed the pedal group and replaced the MCOR.

There is also a black lead routed back to the panel where the solenoid is located that was part of the flasher that would click on when the cart was in motion (part of being street legal in Georgia). I've disconnected the red lead for the flasher from the battery, should I also pull this panel and disconnect the black lead in case that is throwing the cart out of whack?

Ok, how do I find the thread? Sorry, this forum stuff is very new to me and I'm not sure how to navigate these things. I assume your mention of a "paperclip" is coming from that thread....correct? Thank you.
