Default Speed up 98 ds (series) 48 volt club car

I just purchased a 98 ds (series) 48 volt club car. It's great downhills and average on the flats. Terrible uphills. I have been reading some of the threads and have gathered a bit info. But can someone please help and inform me on the easiest was to speed up my cart. Cheers.

Based on your description, the easiest/cheapest solution is going to make sure you just always ride down hills.

Heavy cables, more amps from controller HD f/r switch. More money.

Welcome to BGW.

larger controller (500 amp min), min of 4 ga cables (I prefer 2ga) HD F/R switch and then a larger motor and you too can be running high 20's of follow my signature and run better then 30 mph with plenty of torque to get you up any hill

Swan, I just converted my 89 resistor to Solid State, minus a larger motor. 12MPH before Conversion, 12MPH after conversion. Still trying to figure if i need to tweek my controlller or not. Batteries are not even a year old.
