I made a jumper and connected the green and black wire that connect to switch 3. Solenoid still just clicks and no cart movement. Batteries at 51 volts.

I am thinking the problem is the sonic weld, so the terminals at the micro switch are not a good place to jump the wires.

Sorry I was not clear, I meant the black wire from the sonic weld to the MCOR, not the black piece of wire after the resistor that goes to the micro switch.

The black and the white wires should be connected at the sonic weld, but since You are loosing throttle on forward as well, I am thinking that junction is the problem.

OK. I will jump for those wires prior to the sonic weld. will report back shortly.

Well, using piercing probes, I connected the black wire PRIOR to the sonic weld to the green wire near the micro switch 3 that goes back to pin 2 on controller. I still just get a solenoid click and no movement.

Are you using the AXE 400 controller?

If so, how many times does the LED blink and does it stay on afterwards?

Any red blinks?

Yes. It blinks green 7 times. When cart is running it has no red blinks. When it doesn't run it blinks7 green blinks and then 4 red blinks. That is a thermal code but the cart hasn't been running. Alltrax said 2 things cause that....internal sensor failure, OR voltage getting to the frame. With it being intermittent, I am thinking something is bad in the wiring. I am starting to think it is the controller....dead out of the box. But the problem was there PRIOR to the alltrax controller....thats why I bought the cart thinking the controller was the problem.

I missed the part about the 4 red blinks...

If You have a meter with a Loz setting for DC voltage, try measuring the voltage from pack positive to the frame.

Try with the FNR in different positions and with the solenoid engaged to see if there is any measurable voltage.

Got my Fluke meter out and put the black lead on the main negative, positive lead on several spots on the frame. No voltage. Put the cart in Forward, Neutral, and Reverse, still no voltage. Engaged the Solenoid while switching the F&R....still no voltage. Alltrax still errors out after the 7 green lights to 4 red. I'm thinking bad controller here and wondering why this controller is now doing the same as the first....maybe the harness has issues.

Please continue to advise.....or buy my cart! lol

You should have the meter positive lead on the pack positive and the negative lead on the frame.

The reason for the tests with the solenoid engaged is in case the motor is the one passing current to frame.

Does the 4 red blinks only happen after you press the pedal and hear the solenoid engage?

If so You may need to disconnect the B+ connection from the controller to the motor to isolate the motor.

nice try on the cart sale

OK, did the test again with meter positive on main positive, meter negative on frame. No voltage during F or R, Solenoid engaged or disengaged.
