The four red blinks on the alltrax happens 3 seconds AFTER it gives me the 7 green blinks. Normally 3 seconds after the 7 green blinks the controller goes solid green during operation.

If the error is coming up before You even give it throttle, and You have no other possible source of noise like a Voltage converter, it does look like the controller is not sensing something right.

One last test, unplug the throttle wires from the controller and see if it still blinks the error code.

The only way to power up a series controler is with the pedal. It is not like a precedent that powers up with the key. I get the 7 green flashes as soon as i get the solenoid click from pushing the pedal.....continuing to hold the pedal down i get the red flashes 3 seconds after the green.

I meant to disconnect the 3 pin connector from the MCOR, all You need to power up the controller is the micro switch in the MCOR 2 pin connector.

Actually, it would be better to disconnect the controller terminals #2 and #3, that way You eliminate a possible short in the harness.

LOL....ok. I took the controller out.....Then got this post. Put the controller back in with only pin 1 red wire hooked up. Yellow and green pins 2 and 3 disconnected.....still get the same error code on the controller.

On a scale of 1 to10....bad controller? I think it is.

Unless those 4 red blinks can have another meaming, I would say 10 for a bad sensor in the controller.

Well I found a stock controller and now she runs. Only thing weird is when putting it in reverse you have to push the handle hard over. Its easy to push but if not pushed all the way hard over it won't engage reverse. I wonder if I need to adjust the micro switches or something else. All new f&r and micros.

That is good news on the controller, as far as the FNR issue, most likely the micro switch #1 gap to the FNR cam is too big and it does not allow the micro switch to engage sooner.

Put the FNR in neutral and use some needle nose pliers and bend the metal lever on micro switch #1 a little closer to the FNR cam.

Will do. I think its time to upgrade to the SPM48400 controller.

Thank you for your guidance and advice on trouble shooting this carts issues. Can't wait to go play in the woods with it. Pics to follow!!
