A-Arm lift that much better ride than Spindle lift?! 6 inch

Im ordering a lift and tires this week an it seems a spindle lift is a lot easier to install and looks better to me than the a arm. Is the a arm a lot more smoother ride than the spindle?

Smoother, stronger, better riding, and better handling. The only disadvantage is ground clearance

A arm lift is a far better option and in all honesty its not any more difficult to install, it just takes a bit longer.

Also the a arm lift replaces the entire front components where the spindle lift simply drops into the existing kingpins. So if you have worn out components on the front end, they will still be worn out with the spindle kit, where as the a arm kit will replace those components!

I'm glad you asked this question because I also have been wondering about these 2 lifts. I was also wondering if you could do a 3" spindle lift and then the a-arm lift on top of that? so you gain more clearance while still having the structural integrity of the a-arm.

On all the kits we deal with for the Precedent you wouldn't be able to do the a arm and the 3", as the design does not allow for it. This maybe different for other lifts or carts but with the kits we use it wouldn't work.

Don't get us wrong, spindle lifts certainly have their place, we install many spindle lifts each season. With that being said we like to know what our customers are going to be using their carts for and then we can advise which route to go.

As an example, a lot of our lift carts go to customers who live at lakeside resorts and cruise from their "cabin" to their boats and back again on pavement. They wanted a lifted look, but the biggest bump the cart will ever see is driving off their driveway curb and onto the road. So for that application the spindle lift is great.

On the other hand when we have customers who are using them on their farms, or going for some back country touring we always suggest the a arm kit. It has infinite adjustment and is just an overall better setup for real use.

With all that being said we certainly still have customers that use their carts off road with a spindle lift.

I find with Clubcar, and in the situation we tend to find them in out here, the front end wears far too rapidly for a spindle kit. Camber goes so fast with bushing wear that it leads to 6 month bushing changes. Front end spreads out and gets squirrely very quick.

I have replaced multiple cart's front ends with a z drop I cut from a pattern of clubcars. It's amazing how many people think driving a cart requires a see saw action of the wheel to keep them straight.

My Experience with 3" RHOX Spindle Lift - NO Good

Yes easy to install. Yes gives you enough for a 14" rim and low profile tire (Plus some).

No it is not easy to align as it throws Camber way off and not enough adjustment in the Cam nut in centre of spring. I have struggled with alignment and just when i think its right you make a sharp turn and all of a sudden one wheel (usually my Right Front) toes in like mad.

Called RHOX and as it turns out you need their King Ping Camber Adjustment Kit
PN Lift-191... and of course its on Back order!

Waiting for mine to see if it rectifies - if not Im ditching the whole thing and ordering an A-Arm lift
