Thank You! To the people that have been supporting the Speed Code 5 project!
Hi, everyone. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has ordered the Speed Code 5 programmer over the past few months. The additional sales have enabled the manufacturer to upgrade the units to have an MCOR Check option. This is an additional setting that will show if the MCOR in the cart is achieving 95% or more throttle. That feature is $20 and can be added to any SC5 programmer, new or used.
Again, thank you for your support and we look forward to providing even more options in the future! |

I saw that on your website about the MCOR feature. That's pretty neat

I'd like some quick clarification. So if you currently have speed code 4 and you program in code 5 with the programmer, can you ever go back to 4? Can the three numbers be programmed back into the controller in the future?

Sure you can, but why! I just had my code 5 updated to the high output unit and I'm pushing 29 with 22 tires it has even more torque.
I did not even know about the MCOR check missed that one. |

Ok, it says it doesn't destroy code 4, it just has to be reprogrammed in using an IQDM. I was just wondering in case I didn't get good results with the programmer...

I have 6" all sports a arm lift, rear seat (fold down), 22 " tires, lights, stock controller, 3 year old 12 volt batteries, stock amd motor, I do have the older 2 speed so regen only kicks in around 26-27 I have not tested with 2 speed off ?? That might add some speed. I did test with windshield folded down, when up it's like running with a sheet of plywood makes a big difference.

My Cart, 1,140 pounds
With 22" tires and stock ADC motor and 350 amp Curtis controller top speed was 23 MPH with speed magnet and fold down windshield down. With stock ADC motor and 250 amp Speed Code 4 with high speed magnet top speed was 21-22mph with fold down windshield down. With Plum Quick Purple Bandit motor and 250 amp controller with 22" tires top speed was 26-27 with windshield down. With Plum Quick PH Purple Bandit motor and 350 amp controller with 22" tires and windshield down top speed is over 30 mph. Usually mid to high 30's like 30.8. These speeds are on level ground, no hills and normal wind speeds. Even a 500 amp Alltrax controller, (MORE AMPS usually means more torque, not more speed,) won't get speeds over 25 mph with a stock motor so I'm surprised that a Code 5 which allows full 250 amps from stock controller can produce speeds of 29 mph. From the videos I've seen the code 5 usually gets speeds around 23-24 mph. Am I missing something? |
