slow in foward,fast in reverse
I have a 2001 clubcar -precedent-sepex with a regen 2 controller, 48v. First my OBC was bad so I got a new one and installed it. After that nothing worked so I thought the controller was bad I had the controller rebuilded and put it on. Still nothing so I checked the solenoid which is new also and found no power to small terminal, I cannot find any wiring diagrams that are like mine. I jump a wire to small terminal and it took off but runs slow in forward and fast in reveres.----Help

Re: slow in foward, fast in reverse
I'm sure someone on the forum can help....BUT...the very first Precedents were 2003 or 2004 - not earlier. Regen 2 was only available in DS models older than 2001, I think. Too much conflicting information. No surprise you can't find a matching diagram.
To determine exactly what type of cart you do have, the serial number is definitely required. |

Re: slow in foward, fast in reverse
joesam is exactly right, what is your serial number?
It's located under the dash and above the GO pedal. |

Re: slow in foward, fast in reverse
That number indicates a 2001 Regen 2 model DS (didn't think they were still being made that year). It could be as simple as reversing the wires on your Fwd/Reverse rocker switch. Is this your wiring diagram? Do the colors match?

Re: slow in foward, fast in reverse
The diagram looks like mine, but I don't have the solenold with the resistor on it. Every thing else looks right. I took the wire from F1 to F2 and F2 to F1 and everything is working the way it should. Thanks for the help.Vern

Re: slow in foward, fast in reverse
Someone must have removed the solenoid and coil and disconnected the speed sensor so your dynamic braking won't function (lots of people run them that way). Glad you got it fixed.
