Club Car runs a bit then stops
Hello, I have a club car that from the info on this site is a 1998. Went for a ride yesterday and got stranded. after about a 1/2 mile the cart slowed to a crawl. Had to leave it at another persons home and they were kind enough to let me plug it in for the night. Walked back over this morning and started my journey home and same thing happened. When I turn off the key and let it sit for a few minutes it goes again for a block or so. Finally crippled it home and checked the batteries and they have full charge. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanx.

Load test your batteries. It sure has the symptoms of a bad battery. Take voltage readings of each one and post them here.

All 6 batteries are at 7.5 volts. The amber light on the dash comes on and off randomly. The forward and reverse lever sometimes has to be "Jiggled" to get it to work.

I cannot tell which drive it is from your picture. Is there a place I can get a number that would tell you? Number on the motor? There is a silver box mounted on the front wall of the battery compartment, but I cannot see any numbers on it.

It is series (could not get your picture expanded before. Do not know anything about golf carts and not much more about computers!

Gotta get the batteries charged up first, a fully charged 48v pack should read close to 51v.

If you put the mouse over the pic and left click it should open the pic bigger and if you left click that bigger pic it should open it up in a new page big as the original.
