Best anti theft for your cart?
Sorry, wasn't sure where to post this.
Our cart stays at our seasonal campground for 6 months out of the year (the other 6 months in our heated garage). We only go up to our place about every two weeks on average having to leave the cart there. There has never been an issue with theft in our park and most people look out for one another stuff while away but you never know, especially with the value of some of these carts OR just young kids looking for a joy ride. My cart just sits out front of our trailer (more open there), covered, chained twice to the frame/front end of the cart then to the front V hitch of the trailer. Obviously I take the keys as well and put in in TOW. Is there anything else others do or is there any anti theft devices/deterrent? I guess if someone really wanted it they could just cut the chains and roll it away. Thanks |

Keys are nothing. To many out there all the same more or less. Tow run , most young boys know about them. Instead of a chain use a steel cable, hard as hell to cut with bolt cutters. You can get them for locking down utility trailers, they have loops with high security locks.

In Florida I've seen them take the wheels off when they go back up north for the summer. That makes for extra effort and they (the thieves) move on to an easier one.

Re: Best anti theft for your cart?
I'm back up there every two weeks so don't think I want to go to the extreme of jacking it up and taking a wheel off but great idea for long term
