Default 2002 CC 48v DS trouble.

I bought this cart from a friend close to 3 yrs ago. Since I've owned it it has always periodically clicked on and off while driving it and the battery light flickers and sometimes stays on while driving. When I got the cart the battery age was unknown for sure but they are napa brand and some have 2011 stickers on them and some have 08 09 on them. I'd say this cart has gotten some good use out of them. I'm sure it time to replace them this season.

Will new batteries get rid of my clicking shut down issue? It's always been gutless. Will new batteries make it run faster? If not what are the best (on the cheaper side) bolt on upgrades to make it run faster?

I'd assume that the clicking out that you are referring to can be attributed to solenoid dropout due to low voltage. Put new batteries in it and your problems may all go away. If it's still gutless after new batteries we'll figure out what we need to do to fix it. I doubt that will be the case.

Thanks tahoe.

If new batteries fixes things what recommendations can you make for easy somewhat inexpensive bolt on power for this thing?

Depends on which drive system it is.... What's the vehicle serial number?

It's a series car so inexpensive bolt ons really aren't a possibility. Lots of people simply install a standard 36 volt motor on them. On these cars, it speeds them up a pretty good bit. 3 to 5 mph or so.

Thank you. Whats the average price point on a 36v motor? Any wiring changes? Plug and play? Does anything else need to be changed between the F R switch and the motor to accommodate this change?

Based on the info I've given do you all have a motor part number handy that I can google?
