Default Removing Precedent rear body

I've searched around a little bit and browsed my manuals. Haven't really found the detail I'm looking for. I have been told removing the rear body is not a huge lift but I'm not sure exactly how to do it. Is there something posted that I'm not finding or can someone that has done it give a quick summary of what to do on a Precedent that has a rear seat installed. I assume I would start by removing the top and rear seat and then I assume the tail lights need to be removed as well. Not sure what to do from there. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks - I forgot google and youtube are our friends. Wow - don't even have to remove the top. I was going to say it does look as easy as I thought it might be, but it actually looks easier than I thought.

That looked to easy. I believe there was some trick photography involved.

Nope thats exactly how I remove my body. Except I do remove the 4 bolts that hold the rear roof supports. It makes it easier to slide the body back on.

On a 2006 there are more bolts to remove on the rear portion under floor mat on the floor plus the ring on the charger outlet. There are videos for that as well.

madjax has one.

Let me rephrase my answer. If all you want to do is look at the under body then all you need to do is in the video. But if you actually want to do any work like remove the motor or work on the suspension it is a lot more involved than that video.

The motor I just crawled underneath it and removed the stock motor and put in my plum quick motors. I've done a speed motor and a high torque motor less than 5 minutes. Taking motors out is cake. Taking the controller out is a pain in the ***.

Yea but you probably got a foot or more of clearance under there. You probably wouldn't even need jackstands. :)

Yeah true story, if my cart wasn't lifted I would have to use jack stands/car Ramps for sure.
