Correct Executioner field map?

I just found out that I have been running the wrong field map on my DCX500IQ for the PQ Executioner motor. I contacted Alltrax yesterday but have not heard back yet and there customer support is closed over the weekend. I was wondering if maybe someone on BGW might have the field map 4 file they could send me?

PQ is who would have the correct info are you sure it's map 4

If they really recommended the Map #4, you would have more luck asking the question on the EZGO forum since that is typically used for a PDS.

A member here, jjance, just got Map #44, that is for an AMD 7144 motor (7-hp@5106 rpm)

The motor manufacturer, PQ in this case, provides the controller manufacturer with the "Field Weakening Curve" for the particular motor.

The controller manufacturer, Alltrax in this case, would then either create a custom setting specifically for the controller, or suggest a similar existing Map curve.

The names used to describe them (Club Car vs Ezgo) does not make any difference as long as it provides the correct field weakening for the motor.

I have the executioner motor and yes the field map 4 is what you need. That's what I have my GE controller programed with. Plum quick uses the field map 4 with the executioner.

The GE controllers are not user programmable and there is not some kind of universal field map number convention.

What is referred to a Map (Motor Field Weakening Curve Map) is unique to each controller and motor combination.

I was just saying that I have a Ge controller. But yes plum quick told me they use field map 4 for Curtis,alltrax, and GE controllers with the excutioner motors if this helps.

I am attaching the Motor Weakening Curve for the standard Precedent IQ motor.

You can see the area of the map that the motor manufacturer recommends to use.

The idea is that once the motor core is saturated, making additional current available will only generate heat.

If the motor is still capable of producing more power at higher rpms, the field current can be lowered.

For example, the standard motor with Armature current at 200amps, the minimum recommended field current is around 15amps.

If Your motor can work at 10amps, it would go a lot faster, if not, the additional current that a lower field current would allow gets converted to heat.

The MAP is how the controller maintains the Armature current vs Field current ratios to satisfy the motor specifications.

I would like to add that I wouldn't install any soft/firmware that Alltrax didn't sent me. You don't know what your getting from an individual.
