Default Club Car IQ solenoid always engaged

I'm working on a 2005 Club Car DS IQ cart and it's giving me fits. I put a DCX400 controller on it along with hd solenoid and cables. I have not taken it off jack stands so I don't know how it performs yet but I did notice one thing. The solenoid activates as soon as I turn on the key and does not "drop out" like I thought they did. It's always on. I don't know if it was doing that before the controller swap or not as I didn't pay attention. Anybody know what might be causing this issue? I also checked the MCOR resistance and throttle up is 8600 ohms and throttle to the floor is 1960 ohms. I know this is supposed to be a 5000-0 throttle so is this going to cause problems? I did lots of searching before asking so please forgive me if this problem has been talked about before.

Is the OBC by-passed?
if so probably the wrong procedure.

I cannot think of anyway that a sensor fault would cause the controller to engage the solenoid, there are lots of safeties and sensor signal sequencing for it to fail.

If the solenoid engaging is not preventing the controller from working as you press the pedal, then most likely the MCOR micro switch in the 2 pin connector is shorted.

if the controller is not working, it may be a bad controller.

OBC is not bypassed to my knowledge. I don't know much about the Club Cars but it has the factory charger and it works fine so I assume it isn't bypassed. The cart runs and drives fine but the solenoid is always engaged. I'll check the micro switch and see if it's closed. Thanks for the reply!

Well I completely unplugged the 2 pin connector on the MCOR and turned on the key and the solenoid is still always engaged. I assume that rules out the micro switch?

Oh, and I put a zip tie on the throttle linkage and got the pedal down ohms down to 1.1K and the orange light on the controller comes on indicating full throttle.

sounds like you wired past the throttle micro switch.

I didn't do any wiring. I did a controller swap that was plug and play.

Make sure the blue/white wire on the small post of the solenoid goes to the controller and not directly to B- or pack negative.

Curious if the controller LED light comes on with the key switch too?
