Key Switch Voltage
I've been slow working on my 1996 DS as time permits. This weekend I installed new Trojan 875 batteries. I started to install a reducer and found that my voltage at the key switch is only 25.6v. Pack voltage after sitting overnight is 51.3v. Shouldn't I have the same voltage at the switch as the pack or am I wrong.

Let me guess here your reading across the terminals on the switch, with the switch in the off position

To answer your question yes, a small drop is expected depending upon the quality & condition of the switch.

This reading is not across the switch. Ground to off and then on. Both readings the same, 25 volts. Will this cause a problem activating the reducer.
More important, is this hurting the performance and reliability of the cart. Everything is original, never touched. |

The green wire (hot side of key switch +48v) comes from the same big solenoid post that the pack positive connects to.
Make sure You don't accidentally have that wire on the other big post across from the pre-charge resistor (controller B+ side). |

I'll look at the sticky wiring diagram. I upgraded to 4ga. cables and made sure to label everything so I could put everything back correctly. Could have messed up there. But I should have around 48v at the switch, correct.

You said (ground) that should be negative.

Thanks for the voltage info Sergio. That diagram is much easier to read. Hopefully I just missed something or have a bad wire/connection.
