2006 Precedent 48V
What is the stock speed on this cart? Is there a easy way to increase the speed?
Also, any out of the ordinary issues in adding lights and rear seats to a Precedent? Thanks |

Regular speed should be around 15mph (speed code 3) or so on a stock Precedent. For $100, an Auth. CC dealer can program Speed Code 4 into your cart, which will get you 19.6mph

So all 2006 Precedents can be sped up this way?
Thanks |

A high speed magnet is a quicker, easier, and more affordable way to speed up an 06 Precedent. Dealer programming will still limit your top speed to 19.6mph. A high speed magnet will give you no electronically-limited top speed.

Yes, keep in mind, the faster you go, the more battery it uses. You can also get a little more speed with bigger tires. A 6" lift and 23" tires sped mine up a little over 1mph, but my base speed was closer to 17 to begin with than 15 and I don't have anything programmed beyond 3.
As far as seats and lights, as long as you stay with kits that are made for your cart and follow the directions, you shouldn't have any issues. The 06 should be prewired for rear lights, just have to drill a hole to get to the harness. The cart itself should be prewired for lights, front and rear, but an OEM type kit is going to have you plug in to a wire on one of the cart batteries for power. Over time, running lights off of one battery is going to wear that battery out prematurely and unevenly from the rest of the batteries, putting extra strain on them as well. Recommend wiring to a dedicated accessory battery or installing a voltage reducer. If you search this forum for things like that, you'll find tons of information. |

Yes I was planning to get one of the basic Precedent light kits off of Ebay, along with a reducer.
