Default Excel wire harness the same as IQ?

I just removed the wire harness from my 2012 excel cart, the wires and connectors match exactly to the OQ wire harness, same color code and same connectors, except the connectors for the MCOR but the colors are the same. I matched every color in the connectors exactly the same.

What gives?

Pretty sure there are resistors in the Excel harness that are not in the IQ harness

So It wouldn't be hard to open it up and see, I could even OHM them out to be sure, shouldn't take long.

Each pin in the connectors match exact, if only resistors are the difference I may just remove them to match and solder it back.

I'm hearing some other stuff that makes me wonder if the Excel has changed from the original release.

I'm going to Pin out every single connection, OHM them and check the wiring for resistors etc but so far it is an exact match. If it matches I'm putting it back on and plugging in my IQ stock controller to it, worse case I have to put back the excel controller, it will be an expensive smoke test.

As far as the Curtis IQ vs Excel controller, the only difference are those 453Ω resistors near each of the MCOR 3-pin connector harness. You can ohm them out from the 16 pin connector and You will see the resistance.

As far as using an after market IQ controller on the Excel harness, the real problem is that in the IQ harness, the purple wire of the MCOR is on a dedicated pin of the 16-pin controller (pin #3) and the speed sensor is on a dedicated negative on Pin#13.

The Excel harness share a commom negative for the MCOR purple wire, the speed sensor and the dashboard yellow/black wire.

The only issue in this case is that You need to disconnect the purple wire from the MCOR and provide a separate negative for the speed sensor if used.

You also need to run another negative to the dashboard if the yellow/black wire was in use.

Yup just Ohmed it out, where are the resistors, I want to use the MCOR connectors off the excel harness That is the only visible connector difference, the IQ harness is from a 2008.5.

Thanks Sergio, that is what I found after testing the two, i guess I had the misconception that the harnesses were completely different but actually just a few minor changes they look identical.

Scott, that harness I sold you had the standard MCOR connectors on it. What does your cart have? I hope it's not a TPS.
