Electrical system and testing
2008
Club car Turf/carryall Electric Symptom: Vehicle runs slowly Actions: Cleaned all wiring and checked wiring, checked total battery voltage(50.4v), tried resetting OBC. after one of my coworkers use one of the spare golf carts with same model/year to fix his. he tested parts with the broken one with the new one(by switching): Speed Controller and the relay and the solenoid coil was OK then after he test the OBC now they both run slowly. Now i was wondering if the code from the OBC is now on the Speed controller on the new one? possible? |

Re: Electrical system and testing
The OBC only controls the charging, it does not have speed codes. The controller has the speed codes. It sounds like the controller has been reset to a slower code...

Re: Electrical system and testing
Take it to an Auth. CC dealer with the programmer and they can tell you what speed code you are set at. They won't charge you to set it back to SC3, the one you want

Re: Electrical system and testing
I've never seen one revert. Go to the "Sticky" threads at the top of this page and perform the speed sensor test. If the sensors are bad, you'll need to replace them to get the carts up and running again like they should be.

Re: Electrical system and testing
I perform the speed sensor test. The sensors are bad, I replace them to get the carts up and running again like they should be. AND it didn't work, are the magnet's suppose to be cracked? should i put the old magnet back in? and i perform the speed sensor test with the new one, acts the same as the old one.

Re: Electrical system and testing
No they should not be cracked. Did you replace the entire sensor and magnet, or just the magnet?

Re: Electrical system and testing
What is it a OEM Club Car sensor? People have had problems with knock offs right out of the box...
