Default Help, got taken, Need value advice 04 CC precedent vs 09

So I bought this Club car precedent yesterday from a guy who deals carts on the side and my friends have bought from before. He told me it was a 2009 CC precedent with new batteries and control board.

So im a total newbie to carts and yes I should have done this before buying it but darnit if my excitement didnt get the best of me. Anyways I start looking up the serial number and realize that it is a 2004 precedent iq. It does have new trojan batteries and control board and I am reading that the "age" of a cart isnt all that important but there has to be some value. Anyways I talked to the guy a little bit and he is willing to make it right, but I am not sure how much makes it right.

I paid 2250 for the cart, it is in otherwise good condition from what i can tell.

So what I am asking is, how much should I get back from him? Should I undo the deal? Etc

With new batteries And controller I think you paid a pretty fair price.

Every local market is different. Around here that would be reasonable. With carts, the condition is more important than age. If you were happy with THAT cart at that PRICE before you noticed the year, you'll probably be happy a year from now. Happy carting.

Condition is more important than age. As long as you really did get new batteries, I think you got a fair deal.

Give him an extra $250, make it 2500. I second what everybody else said.

Wouldn't a 04 be a 12v battery cart and an 09 an 8v battery cart? Might be important depending on use.

and thanks for the information all. The guy gave me $100 back or offered to pick up the cart. I originally wanted 250 back but with the good input here I accepted 100.

Thanks for the help guys and look forward to a future of posting here as a new (used) cart owner

In my area, that would be considered a good deal on a Precedent...
