What goes wrong inside Curtis controllers?

I hope I am asking this question in the correct place! I would like to open my Curtis controller and rebuild it. Does anyone have information on how to repair Curtis controllers and what parts usually fail. Thanks in advance, ted4420

I would think the highest failure rate would be the power transistors. They would probably be burnt and unidentifiable. Finding a schematic would be impossible as would be replacing components on a multilayer PCB. But on the bright side there are company's that do repairs like FSIP. Not to long ago somebody posted about repairing his controller. He had his taken apart. I don't remember any search terms but its out there somewhere.

I have repaired many Curtis 1204/1205 controllers. You will need to replace all the FET's, gate resistors and some times the PNP FET driver on the logic board. The FET's are about $2 each, they all should be replaced, it's risky using old stressed parts.

Where do you get the parts from?
