Re: Reverse buzzer delete.... Please help
I'm with you, passthru. I have been known to sneak up on some Canadian Geese with mine and sling a little lead.
I've nearly ALWAYS had disabled/removed/unhooked buzzers on my carts, in fact it's a rarity for me to come across one not from the golf course that still has it functioning.
Here's a STRICT rule of thumb I make myself follow on all my carts: when coming to a stop and leaving the cart, even for a second, I put it in neutral. I may not hit the key if I'm just coming back in a few seconds, but I ALWAYS put it in neutral. It's second nature to me since I grew up with standard transmissions where you better have it in neutral if you're gonna leave it running. This makes me aware of my selected gear every time I begin to move the cart, and I've never had a wrong direction mishap in lots of years carting this way.
That said, on the newer carts I'm not sure what all is tied to the buzzer. I know it sounds when a roll-away is occurring to alert you of it. For one of these carts, it might just be best to muffle it as has been mentioned previously.
