I had a pair of 95s once, my first 48v carts. Performance was a disappointment.
They need a total upgrade to perform well. Controller, solenoid,F&R,Cables, and motor.

Looks like you've got a great start! You have one of the first CC 48v carts ever made, as they came out in '95.
It looks like the drive system is stock, which could present a problem with the lift.
Scottyb is your guy when it comes to upgrades, check out his site.

Oh, and to BGW

I am adding a grab bar and hitch --- As for a tune up can it be in stages?

1. Can I buy wiring first then work form there? What would be next?

Motor, Controller, Solenoid, FNR ... What needs to be done together and what can be done separate?

Thank You

Upgrades center around 2 things; allowing the motor access to more amperage ( controller/solenoid) and delivering that increased amperage to the motor.
You have to lay the pipes or pathways for the amperage (cables/F&R) before allowing more amperage to flow (controller/solenoid) and ultimately you increase demand (motor, big tires, extra loads)

Halfway through 95 CC transitioned from the V-Glide to the under the floor potentiometer. Which do you have? (The V-Glide looks like a piece of pie and is in between the batteries on the driver's side frame rail)

I think he'll find that he's got the pot.

(Hey look, a rhyme! )

Looking at the pic closely, I don't see a Vglide when I look between the middle batteries and the FNR switch at the space on the frame rail where it would be, but I might be wrong.

It's hard to tell between the shadow and the flap that covers the F-R switch
