Default 2010 club car ds with admiral motor quits after a few mins

I Have a 2010 ds cart that I just installed a new admiral motor in after running about 5 mins wide open throttle the cart will just stop as if you lifted the pedal as soon as you let off of the pedal and press it again it will take off. I have been around carts for about 9 years but i am not familiar with this motor or this speed sensor setup the cart is in the #4 setting 48v IQ any help would b appreciated

Got to ask. Were you running it wide open on jack stands?

How about thermal shutdown. Are you trying to run a increased HP motor (by that I mean non stock) with a stock controller?

I'm going to sound like I'm preaching again but you can't do half a mod. You need to upgrade your controller to something that will match your motors HP. 9 HP is 3X the stock motors HP.
