Re: Batteries wont charge
The charger needs to 'see' a minimum voltage before it will turn on. The batteries have probably dropped below the min voltage. Can you check the total pack voltage with a handheld meter?

Re: Batteries wont charge
If they are very low (which I suspect they are) charge them in pairs with a 12v charger (works for 2/6v in series) until they come up high enough for the charger to recognize them and come on.

Re: Batteries wont charge
And after taking this advise the next thing you need to do is keep your cart plugged into the charger all the time; especially when your not using it for long periods of time..... A properly working charger will NOT over charge your batteries.....

Re: Batteries wont charge
Leaving it plugged in may not work. My charger doesn't reset unless it's unplugged.

Re: Batteries wont charge
Better choice: www.batteryminders.com There are other brands but these battery maintainers insure fully charged batteries ( no sulfate issues) and no water loss over an extended time frame like 6 months. Model #36271 for 36v...search for best price.

With that being said I think the OBC is designed to switch the charger back on every 2 weeks (?) as long was there was no A/C power interuptions.... The rectifiers died in mine and that was my excuse to get a DPI charger... |

Re: Batteries wont charge
After the initial charge is complete the DPI charger goes to a float mode like the battery minder but it also cycles on to recharge the pack every 30 days - which is something you can't get from a battery float device.

Re: Batteries wont charge
That is a nice feature. My Yamaha charger doesn't do this as far as I know.
