Default Anyone running 14x7 wheels on late Precedent? What backspace?

Been searching for new wheels and tires for my 2010 Precedent and want to go with 205/30-14 on 6 or 7" wheels. There are only a few choices in black but all have different offsets and claim to fit Club Car. Talked to a couple of sponsors and am getting conflicting information. Some say lift is a must because the tires are "huge". Others say stock is fine because with this tire, the diameter is nearly the same. I've seen that tire listed as 19.75" even though it calcs out just under 19. One guy even told me that offset does not matter because I could use spacers.

ITP Hurricane are my first choice. I'd like to fit them under the fenders like the stockers but the 5+2 offset is much more positive. Madjax Nitro are a 3+4 negative offset. A small lift block like Jake's would be fine but I do not want to lift this cart.

Does anyone have 205/30-14 on a stock or close to stock Precedent suspension?

I have 205/30-12 tires on mine and had to lift the front an inch to keep the front passenger tire from rubbing when making sharp right turns. I know its not the exact size you are looking at but hope the information helps.

Thanks Oneunder. Even though the diameter is 2" smaller, it does help put his into perspective. . Can you tell me the wheel offset?

I have 215/40-12 on a 2010 Precedent without a lift and they don't rub (3.5-4 offset).

The stock 8" wide wheels are 4-4 (centered).

The issue will be the passenger side, there is a small "tunnel" that protrudes into the fender well where the bucket harness goes up to the dash.

I guess that a 3-4 will be as deep as it can go backwards and still tuck under the fender on a 14" rim.

Thanks Sergio. I've heard that some minor work might be needed there.

I think on a 14" rim You will need to do some trimming on the back fenders as well without a lift.

I know folks here ran that size wheel/tire with a 1" billet aluminum spacer under the front spring and trimmed the back fender.

You can see the clearance of my 215/40-12 in this picture for perspective.

Very nice looking setup. Thanks for sharing that.

I would not mind the 1" spacer and minor trimming out back as long as the back spacing was right. The Hurricane wheels are 5+2!

What is the offset of those wheels you are using? I've been looking for months at the same tire size with a -47mm offset wheel.

How do you check for that? The wheels were already on the cart when I got it but I am very confident the previous owner just swapped them for the original without making any modifications.

Tape measure from the center to the outer lip from both sides, if there is a difference that will be your offset, usually about 1 to 2 inches is the most you will get offset.
