Default Help I am clueless

I need a buggy for around the house and hunting on 330 acres of moderately rolling land and have decided to have one built. I have decided on a 48 volt Club Car as the base and am looking for suggestions as far as lifts, wiring, controller, etc.. I would like an on board charger also. Would like some input from the all knowing Internet to compare it to what the guy building it might suggest. I really want this thing to be as bullet proof as possible with good quality parts. Thanks for your help.

Welcome Pointhunter! As for electric upgrades, ScottyB is THE authority on that one! I'm sure he'll chime in soon. And as for lifts, Allsports is what I personally have, and have installed Jakes as well. They're comparable. Please don't cheap out on an ebay knockoff as you'll regret the ride. You've decided on a great starting platform, so let the fun begin!

why the on board charger , no need for it to take the abuse on 330 acres of moderately rolling land . street cruiser that runs pavement all the time ok but not for over grass and woods.

Cool thanks for the replies. Would never have thought about the charger taking abuse, just the ease of not having a seperate charger to mess with. Thats the kind of info I was hoping to get here.

Considered a Gas cart? No charger, no 1000 dollar bill for new batteries, etc.

Lots of people like electric carts for their stealth approach to game and get in and go operation without any start up or warm up. But gas carts have their place, we used them exclusively on construction sites.

Contact me for a run down on everything you would need for a good electric cart set up.

Sounds like you might want to consider a gas cart. Range is almost unlimited and the only real down side is that they are not as quiet. I own an electric by the way but I use it for golf.

I use electric on 1000 acre hunting property with no problems. As long as you have electricity to plug it in at night you'll love it.
