electric motor whining
I have a club car ds 48v. it is a 2000.5 model or later. I went trough some water with it, and ever since then there has been a whining in the rear end. I check the brakes. changed the fluid 2 times in the rear end. the fluids out of the rear end looked good. I determined it to be coming from the motor and possibly the rear end. but I'm more than sure the motor. so yesterday I took the motor off. pulled out the center of it, (I assume this is the coil). I sprayed some penetrating on inside the housing and on the coil. I let it sit for a few minutes and used a brush to kind of scrub it a little. I then sprayed a whole can of electrical contact cleaner on it all to get the oil of and clean it all good.
the bearing on the end of the motor shaft seemed fine. after putting it back together it still has that bad whining noise. its not extremely loud, but it is aggrevating. can anyone help with this. could it be something in the rear end not aligning or a bearing inside there? do I need to bring the motor to a motor shop? Please help |
