Default Need some guidance on changing batteries

I have a 2006 DS I use at my campground for moderate use. It runs off 6x8 volt batteries. Which are shot. My question is, can I replace them with 4x12 volt batteries without any problems WRT charging and the OBC and what have you. I know you will say. Stick with 8 volts. I just need to know if it will work without issues.

Thank you

Will it work? Sure within reason it will work... But do not use regular automotive or marine deep cycle battery... Be sure that if your going to cheap out that at the very least you use 12 volt battery that are GOLF CART rated.... Keep in mind that 12 volt battery even if golf cart rated will not have the endurance of 6 or 8 volt batteries....

Around were I live 12 volts cost more than 6 , 8 volt. Even auto batteries are 130.00 each.

if you're just using it to putt around the campground 12 volts will work just fine I have 12 in my 06 and I have never run them down. 12 volt golf cart batteries.
