Question controller cover

I just upgraded my 06 cc ds controller to a 500amp. Alltrax. The cover will not fit the new one. I was driving it today in a light rain and something got wet. The reverse buzzer started buzzing so, I stopped and put it in neutral then reverse and back in forward! It still buzzed constantly, I then put it in tow, it quit! I waited for a few minutes, put it in run forward it seemed fine! Do you think the controller got wet and caused this or something else? It hasn't happened to me before!

I haven't done an awful lot of work on SepEx carts, but I do know that their controllers like to crap themselves if they even smell water.

Well I don't think that the f/r switch got wet or if the controller would do that. I just wandered if anyone has had this happen. I may try to make some kind of cover!

On my Precedents, the reverse buzzer going off when not in reverse means the Forward/Reverse switch got wet. I'm running a 500 amp Alltrax as well. It happens a lot when I power wash the carts. I take a leaf blower and blow it out good or let it sit and dry out.

Pressure washing electric carts is not recommended because the spay force sends water where it shouldn't be. If you are unlucky components can be damaged.

Moisture will drive any electronics/switches etc. not weather tight, crazy. These carts aren't weather tight, high humidity can cause the same issues, more so on older carts.
