PH is an Excel cart so while you have options they are more limited; your stock controller is 250 amp... As to a larger solenoid as long as the coil is rated at 48 volts any larger size will work; I used the Super Duty 400/1000 which I think is the largest one can find. As commented if you want more hill climbing and/or load carrying torque your going to need a bigger controller and how big is up to you. I went with a 500 amp controller and got plenty of hill climbing power; while I do get slowed down some I can handle some fairly steep hills.
