Lift Kits & Larger Rims/Tire

I'm new to customizing carts and am considering upgrading my 2007 CC Precedent with a lift kit (4 or 6 inch) with larger rims / tires. But I'm concerned about the cart tipping over more easily and other negative handling/performance issues. Shoul I be? Can anyone give me some advice. Thanks

Any quality Double A Arm lift kit will give you good results. Sure it will be more top heavy, but good tires and wheels with a little off set will widen the stance and help with stability.

Thanks David. Will the larger wheels/tires help increase cart speed? Speed for hill climbing?

Not for climbing hills no; they will in fact rob you of some torque as they are larger and heavier... Taller tires will allow your cart a little more top end speed on the flat ground though...

As to stability I bought my cart with 6" lift wheels and tires installed so I don't know anything else. But I will tell you that I live in a very hilly and curvy hood and my cart is fairly fast to which I've not found that it is scary at speeds it should not be scary at....

I just installed a 6" lift with 23" tires on my 2014 yesterday

I gained a very noticeable amount of top end speed and love the new ride

Today the ride to the park, I did some small off roading, going around the banks of ponds etc to see how it felt , and was not concerned at any point

Here's a pic of the Lift and tires I just put on, finished the install a few hours ago

These carts are still plenty stable with lift and tires. Technically they can be flipped over easier - I should know because my son flipped mine. But they don't feel like they could flip easily when riding them, still very stable and capable of taking curves at decent speed. My teen son was trying to show off and spin a 180 on a gravel road when he flipped mine. Ride it "normally" and you should have no issues.

I recommend a double a arm kit for improved stability concerns I have spindle kit and have no issues. But if you're worried a arm would be better. The torque will be decreased in larger diameter tires but top end flat ground speed is increased. But once you start the customizing of you're cart it will go further than you think.
