Default 2002 Club Car Goes Forward in reverse

Needed a lil bit of advice from those far Knowledge than me! I had a laggy 2002 Precedent come to me. Batteries were 6 years old so they got changed and still had the problem. Thru this site i determined the MCOR was faulty so i ordered an upgraded one. Whilst waiting for it to arrive, I decided to clean the motor mounted cables. I took my positive lead of the battery bank and went to work. Whilst wrenching off the A1 post, I brushed the F1 post with wrench and it Arced! In disbelief i checked my lead positive and it some how wriggled loose and was back in contact with the batter post! I smell some burning plastic and a diode on the solenoid was melted and super hot. Now the cart will Go forward when in reverse. What did i fry? Did i cook that diode? Or the solenoid? Reversed my polarity? Please help a clueless cart jockey who was shoe horned into this Nightmare!

First off, to BGW

This doesn't sound like the best situation, but let's take it one step at a time.

Precedents were not made until 2004. If you could post your serial number, that would help us tremendously. It is on a white sticker under the dash behind the go pedal, or it may be on the right kick plate near the passenger's feet.

Weird problem, so it goes forward when in reverse, does it do anything when in the forward position?

it still goes Forward in forward. But i seems like it isnt full power. Ive checked once to see if i wired it wrong and according to a wiring diagram i found here, it seems to be wired correctly.
