Default replace selinoid new one is different

I have a 2001 ds 48 volt ds that stopped running a few months ago as it ad 2009 Trojans. Ideided t was time to replace and upgrade. Going to replace all new cables, new 500 amp controller, HD F-R switch and selinoid and add a 30 amp reducer. Everything seems straight forward except the selinoid as the one I have is square and the new one is round just not sure how to wire it, just want to do it correctly.

I tried o post 2 pictures from photobucket but that didn't work

When you post use the advance button and attach files there, just look below the dialog box and you'll see attachments to post pictures directly.

The round solenoid should be hooked up the same, big wires to big post with resistor and little wires with diode in the same direction as before.

The solenoid just looks different, it really is the same. Take a look at the new solenoid and the old one and you will notice that they both have two large terminals and two small terminals. Tag and identify the wires at each terminal and simply transfer them to the new solenoid. Here's a little sheet I send out with the solenoids to help with the install.

Bad diode; perhaps previously installed backwards and it is shorted?

So I am at the point that I am taking out the old controller and selinoid and of course the wiring is different than the new scamatic that came with the new controller.

Old wiring on the controller had only 1 wire going to the F/R switch from the m- and the b+ has 2 wires going to the selinoid and the motor on a1. The wiring scamatic shows the b+ going to the selinoid and the F/R switch and the m- going to the motor On a with a going to the F/R switch

Only question is which do I re-wire, the old set up or the new scamatic?
