02 club car f/r speed
I have a 02 club car that runs the same in reverse and forward. Isnt there a resistor in one of the wires that will cause this? Any input on which wire and where it's at? Thanks for the help.

What is the vehicle serial number? We need to first identify your drive system before we can help you with diagnosis. In 2002, there were three available drive systems.

Re: 02 club car f/r speed
It has the IQ drive system. There is not a half speed resistor on this model. When you say it's running the same in forward in reverse, I'm assuming you're meaning very slowly correct? Typically reverse is about half the speed of forward, but all of that is controller internally by the motor controller on this model. How fast does it go? If it's extremely slow, you may need to look into testing the speed sensor. There is a test procedure for that located at the top of the electric club car page in the "sticky" section. Give it a try and see if you can figure anything out.

I thought you could plug a scan tool into the IQ series? There is not a plug for it on the bottom of the f/r button. I'll check the speed sensor. Thanks

Re: 02 club car f/r speed
They have replaced the f/r housing and didn't put the diagnostic port back in. They unplugged the pigtail for it and left it off. Now it makes more sense ... It was the speed sensor. Thanks for the help.
