Default 1987 Club Car

I was given a 1987 Club Car. It does not run but will click when it is in forward or reverse and the peddle is pressed. Can anyone give me any pointers on where to start trouble shooting. All of the batteries seem to work. It's possible that it could be wired wrong. It has been tampered with. Can anyone tell me where to find a wiring diagram? My serial 3 is A8733125253 with a motor 5BC48JB764. I'm trying to repair this and get it running for my elderly father to use on his land. Thanks!

Thanks, but unfortunately that link is for an 89-03 model. I've looked at the wiring and it is definitely different from an '87. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram for the '87.

Jray,

Thanks, I'll check that tomorrow. I know that the 88 or newer diagrams are not the same, so I'll have to check the 81-85. Thanks for the info.

Been there done that. Silonoid or however you spell it is not working. I used to carry a hammer to tap all five when cart would shut down, on golf course. I finally replaced all 5 of em. The first one turns the system on, the rest are for each speed.
