Default Throttle problem? 2003 DSseries

My cart will run at some times and not others. It seems to drive slower than normal and just quits. The solenoid clicks but no movement. I checked batteries the last time it happened and pack voltage was 52+ volts and each battery was near 8.4v. Let cart sit and 2 hours later it drove, but still slow.
The batterries are 08/08. The reverse buzzer works sporatic, cannot remember if it works wben cart stops or not.
Need advice where to check for problem. I have a volt meter and also have extra solenoid. Will be at deer camp next weekend where cart located. If parts needed I will have to take with me(190 miles).
TIA Mike

Of course make sure you have water over the plates in the batteries. Check voltage when you drive. See if one battery drops real low. Likely you will find one that does. Make sure all connection are cleaned pull hard on cable ends. You should not be able to pull them loose. They should hold good enough to lift battery.

If the batteries are really 7 years old then that's where I would start.

Yes I know batteries are 8/08 because I bought them new. When cart is running I backed it to a tree and hit throttle. There was some voltage drop but not a complete failure. Can't quote voltage because cart not close by.
