Resurrection of my 82 CC BARN FIND
I'm new to this but somewhat mechanically inclined and am attempting the impossible I think. I've read a lot of great info on here which will be a huge help along the way. image.jpg

Re: Resurrection of my 82 CC BARN FIND
It's going to take time and money but I will try to post the progress along the way. I'm just starting the tear down.

Awesome find, and believe it or not, that thing has a bullet proof drive system that some say is more reliable than the modern stuff... |

Re: Resurrection of my 82 CC BARN FIND
Welcome to BGW, and nice find! Like those rear tires.
Your rear body is newer than 82, it is a 93+ style. From what I can see though, the rest looks right for 82. The body being newer is common, the newer bodies are better and more resistant to breaking anyhow. |

Re: Resurrection of my 82 CC BARN FIND
Yeah, beside the body being fadded its not cracked so it sure turn out fine with some paint. I checked the serial number plate which starts with a82xxxxxx so i figured it was an 82. Its going to take time as i will be on the hunt for parts as i go along.

That beast looks like it's in great shape! Your battery trays even look good!
Are you planning on keeping the resistor coil/5 solenoid setup? |
