Stretching My Precedent!
OK I'm about to start the project of stretching my Precedent form 2 forward facing seats to 4 forward facing seats with the rear flip seat in the back. We've had our cart for a couple years now and as the kids have gotten bigger the rear seat has gotten a ton smaller. So that being said I ordered the factory club car stretch kit and I am going to try my best to chronicle this process to help anyone out in the future thats also going to try this.
So far I have inventoried the kit and it comes with everything you need to do the job, sans the actual seat back and bottom. I sourced a used seat back off of eBay but still cannot seem to find a suitable bottom that comes with the hip supports and hardware. If anyone has one laying around I will gladly buy it from you. The other issue is going to be mounting the new canopy. The rear flip seat I have left the basket in tact between the front and rear seat. I like the basket because other than storage it's a great place to mount the 2 coolers that came with the cart. Club Car makes a roof called the Monsoon XL but this seems to be a white whale as I now have 3 different CC dealers trying to find one for me. All of the other aftermarket long tops seem to make use of a universal rear support that unfortunately won't work with the rear seat basket combo that I have. If anyone can shed any light here that would be appreciated as well. Again I look forward to making this a very informative thread full of pics and hopefully some insight into this process. Thanks. |

Re: Stretching My Precedent!
Ok I was able to source the Club Car Monsoon XL top. The part number is 105053103 just in case anyone else is ever looking for one. The one question I have is about the rear roof support for this top. It works with the stock club car roof draining system. Here is a picture of it. If anyone can find this part for me I owe you a beer.
Thanks. |
