No reverse please help
I have a 48v. 99 club car ds and won't go into reverse . Forward is fine . Reverse beep goes off when moving switch to it . Hoping it isn't the motor . Tried switching the main cables at the switch to try that and doesn't do it either . Has all new batteries . It's driving me nuts . If u push it in neutral it rolls smooth up and back Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you let us know what kind of drive system You have?

Re: No reverse please help
The good news is that it cannot be the motor or controller.
Here is the wiring diagram for the cart. Which wires exactly did You switch and what happened with the lever in Forward and Reverse? Do You hear the solenoid click when it does not move in reverse? |

Re: No reverse please help
Solenoid messed up ? But it's getting power for going forward that's why I figured it wasn't that . All wires are out of wire loom so I can see them . Turn the key on . Release brake move lower switch handle to reverse . Then nothing

Re: No reverse please help
That question about the solenoid was to eliminate the "limit micro switch" lever being the problem. If You are sure the click is from the solenoid and not from the pedal, then that is not the problem.
If the Blue and Orange wires you switched were the ones in the swivel posts of the FNR, it would be impossible for the cart not go in reverse when the FNR was in the forward position. |

Re: No reverse please help
Are you saying after you switch the wires the cart will not move in either direction regardless what position the FNR is in?
