Run Time
I have been told that a fully charged cart should run an average of 35miles before needing to be charged. Is this correct?

Re: Run Time
Not far off, generally speaking. But a lot of factors involved - how fast you running, how much weight you carrying, what kind of terrain are you riding on, what condition are the batteries in. And running the batteries so low on a regular basis will probably cause you to not that get kind of range over a long period of time.

Re: Run Time
I get nowhere near that distance with my cart. More like 20 without stressing the batteries below 50%.

Re: Run Time
Flat out up and down the hills around here gets me about 10 miles on my 4 year old batteries.

Re: Run Time
Does your cart slow down going up hills and stuff? I noticed last night that my lights stayed bright, but my cart would slow down going up hills (on the road).

Re: Run Time
Every cart I drive slows down on the hills in my neighborhood.

Re: Run Time
okay.....did some testing today. On a fresh charge, I rode my cart with the radio on. I had myself and my wife and my grandson on the cart. Cruising on level ground I was able to get to about 12.5 to 13mph. On hills the cart would slow down to as little as 6mph. I was using a GPS to monitor speed and distance. I got right around 12 miles and the radio cut out. About another mile and I was home.
Now these are BRAND NEW batteries! I have tried breaking them in properly. All of my connections are tight, and my water levels are good. What am I doing wrong? I know I should get more mileage out of a fresh set of batteries. This is a 48vt CC DS IQ. |

Re: Run Time
I'm curious to hear the guys respond to this. I'm currently hunting an older 48v DS to work on next.

Re: Run Time
