If you can grab the end of the armature shaft with a pipe wrench and just try top turn it, then it should break free.

that did not work for me either I had the same situation I just heated that coupling probably a minute or more and it popped free using the drop method. have some water handy once it pops free if you can cool the shaft

Sorry to hear still having trouble with that motor but there is good news. My money is on you in the arm wrestling match.

That give's me an idea, I can take it to the gym and tell the guys is's a great workout routine for building mass :)
