Speed
Just a quick question......right now my cart is all stock as far as motor and controller go. It is a 48vt CC DS IQ. I am only getting around 13mph on flat ground (on road). What can I do to make the cart faster without spending a bunch of money on this thing? I am tired of forking money over on this cart. It is an 02 model and I have put 2 sets of batteries in it and a new (rebuilt) factory controller in it. My rear tires are just a tad bit larger than stock tires. Will that make a difference?

Re: Speed
well for starters, what you call "a bunch of money" and other call a bunch of money can differ. HOWEVER, you may want to try and either get one of the mods to move this thread into the Electric CC section instead of the EXTREAM DC section where it is now, I bet you will find a lot more help there with this issue.

Re: Speed
The cheapest speed increase on an IQ cart is a speed magnet (under $50).
You can then use that as the baseline to judge the value of any other upgrades. |

Re: Speed
If you choose to buy one - buy it from: REVOLUTION GOLF CARS.
There are Chinese knock-off speed magnets on eBay and such, but they frequently don't work properly (often, not at all). Call first to make sure you get the one that fits your specific motor. |

Re: Speed
David did a heck of a job explaining all of it in his Ebay listing:
