Default Project Deception 1992 CC DS

Told my daughter when she went to Alaska to work for 5 mos (May-Sept) at a resort near Denali Natl. Park, that i would try and restore her old cart that she got on her 14th birthday back in 2006. The short of it is , is that i told her it was too far gone and wasn't worth putting thousands into it and it was now just junk. I think she's buying my but she knows i'm a prankster. Step 1 : Cut as much rusty sh!t off as possible the easy way and get 22 yr. old pos , beat to crap body off and see whats underneath it all

Received a bunch of parts today ,A Arm and Leaf Spring Bushings, Shocks Front and Rear, 2 Steering Bellows (1992 takes 2 LONG bellows). Jakes 6" Spindle Lift Kit is set to arrive tomorrow. I sanded and hammer tone painted some front end parts that will be highly visible once its lifted. Will take some more pics tomm. night after i get the lift kit installed. I ordered a Burgundy Metallic Double Take body that should ship to me at the end of the week. Its in North Carolina so it wont take long to get to me here in hell ,i mean Florida. Land of the newly wed and nearly dead.I ordered some small stuff from my local Club Car folks but nothing big. Christ they wanted 920 bucks for the new plastic body set, i got one for 544. So i'm shopping around on every high dollar item Stay tuned for more exciting developments. Heres one now, i'm broke again

Can't sleep so i figured i'd post some more pics of our progress.Hers some pics of the old parts cleaned and hammer tone painted.Replaced all the front suspension bushings and installed the new front shocks. I will do the rear shocks tomorrow when i install the lift kit. Blitz, my GSD is my beer assistant and best friend, another Miller Lite please, and keeps me well hydrated, entertained, and keeps track of my tools. Where the hell is my 9/16 deep socket,, Blitz did you not put back the tools like i've told you a thousand times. I gotta blame someone. My dad told me after my brother and i had moved away that he would blame Lady, our German Shepherd we grew up with, for his missing tools since we were no longer around to be blamed for his own misplaced tools. The tradition lives on here don't you know. I am my father now, he died in 94 at the ripe old age of 58. One heart attack and bam, hes gone.My daughter Megan was just a baby then. She never got to know him. So live it the fock up guys ,,,beer assistant another round for me and a new tennis ball for you as well.

Enjoying seeing the progress. You have the same year/model cart as me but my work has stopped until I can get a new motor and rear end assembly. I ended up destroying my differential trying to get the armature off. Decided it was going to come off or else. Ended up with else. Been practicing welding aluminum with a mig again to repair a couple of items Should have my new Bandit and rear end by next week and get back on my reno.

Blitz, what is the serial number of the cart? It should either read A93 or A94 at the beginning. You don't have a 1992, you either have a 1993 or a 1994. Only in 93 and 94 CC produced the 36v carts with the controllers rather than the resistor coils for speed control. Didn't notice the controller until just now. BTW, it's somewhat of a rare cart

Check it out closer Nick, the bumpers are pre-93 style but the body, glove box and dash color, and steering wheel say 93+. From my knowledge of the 36 volt controller carts, I will say that is DEFINITELY a factory controller setup.

Would love to see the serial # tag, Blitz. If that is a 92, then you have probably what is one of the very first controller DS carts produced, hence the hybrid stuff on it.

It has the tan glove boxes (92), but the 93+ front suspension, body, steering wheel

Very possibly a 92 controller cart, being super rare. Kind of like the prototype 03 Precedents

Not that I have a clue, but I noticed the additional railing that the controller is mounted to is not welded but bolted. But the hole locations look uniform. Would the factory bolt on a rail?

Don't know why I thought I saw black glove boxes.

Will be interesting to see what tale the S/N tells.
