weld or solder to fix broken wire inside motor
When I was trying to fix a loose wire connection, I broke off the soldered connection, from the bolt/stud that is on the motor.
I took the motor apart and found that the bolt/stud that attaches to the inner wiring coil (not the wire to the brushes) has been separated from the head of the bolt/stud. The wire that has detached, from the stud head, looks similar to a wire coat hanger. My question is: Can I have a 'welder' or 'solder' fix this for me? Also, does the material need to be special, such as, heavy acid flux, etc. It seems like an easy fix, but I do not own any welding or soldering equipment and do not no much about that stuff either. It seems like a soldering gun, with the correct wire material should work, but I am not sure. Thank you very much for your help! Marc |
