96 Club Car solenoid wiring
My 48 volt Club Car has two solenoids. I took wires off to clean connections and got wires all back on in correct place. ended up with short red wire that I did not notice when taking apart. believe it is a jumper wire from one solenoid to other. I've looked up wiring diagrams and couldn't find one showing that wire but seen picture on here of some ones having that wire and all the other wires matched mine. Any help before I screw it up. Thanxs

You can see clearly which posts the "Short Red" goes to. Worth double checking the others too, just to be sure. |

Re: 96 Club Car solenoid wiring
Looks like what I gathered from the photo some one posted. Would my cart have ran without that connected, because I really don't recall seeing that wire connected to anything on other end? It was connected for sure on one end.

Re: 96 Club Car solenoid wiring
I believe it does. That's when it brakes (regens batteries) while going down hill with foot off gas?

Re: 96 Club Car solenoid wiring
If that short red wire is not connected, the Dynamic Brake solenoid would never engage and the cart should have run really slow. The coil would also get really hot.

See? Told you he'd know (but he probably wasn't really sleeping).

Re: 96 Club Car solenoid wiring
I’ve got problem with wiring of solonoid also. I’ve got blue and white wire on small terminal on top. I’ve got blue and red with white strip along with orange with white strip in small bottom terminal. I’ve got power to large terminal on left from battery. I also have 2 reds and 1green on terminal attached there along with a red with fuse attached to that terminal. The other side with large terminal goes to the b+ on controller. Does this sound somewhat correct ?
