I didn't either - I used the example to illustrate what a simple next step this development will be. Thanks for your input.

That would be nice, flip a switch and climb that hill!

If done properly by the user, good practice would probably put less strain on the motor and system and add that as a long term benefit, if properly adhered to and not abuse the switch lol. It is like the issues with a two speed rear, if done properly no problem but in reality if not used properly, damage is inevitable.

The Curtis 1268 has had that function for a while and it does a "blending" of the settings while it transitions on the fly with a toggle switch.

Unfortunately Curtis is missing a huge Market by not having a "free" GUI program like Alltrax.

I think the new Alltrax user interface is far superior to anything I have seen in professional (aka: dull) controller programmers.

I am looking forward to see what other cool stuff they are going to add to it.

Experiencing both controllers, I have to agree Alltrax gui is very user friendly That is one thing they have the market on, with this new controller I wish I had one to play with.

Curtis is based off golf carts sold to golf courses and machinery controllers like fork lifts etc. those days in the cart world, this wasn't never an issue and they made extra money this way. This cost for the average user to get anything done to their controller isn't worth it over one that is so simple to work with. Eventually I'll upgrade my last cart and to have something I can take advantage of their controller with free software will probably drive the final decision, especially since they eliminated that external interface board, I just couldn't get over that.

Scotty, In the All stock Precedent, No HD Solenoid? Thats amazing if so.
Also, you just switched the F1 & F2 on the controller?

Yes on the F1 and F2 wires. It is a misprint in the manual which seems to effect all models, not just the CC. Alltrax recommends the 200a HD solenoid for use with this controller. So we paired the 200a solenoid with the control to make pkg #XCT400IQ

So these are plug and play for Excel carts, too? No wire harness or throttle changes?

Anything new to report over the past 30 days of use?

Plug and play with all three precedent drives. Auto calculating throttle makes throttle problems a thing of the past.
Not much to report except continued quick but smooth response and plenty of torque to 22 mph.

I wonder if someone could use a Raspberry Pi and a small LED on the dash to
switch programs. Scottyb, this is sounding more along the lines of what I may
need to do to my 2012 Excel cart.
