There's a little black box that clicks whenever you press the accelerator. There are three different styles. The Pot-Box would be mounted on the inside of the driver's side I-Beam next to the accelerator. The MCOR would be on the outside of the passenger side I-Beam with a rod running into it from the accelerator. The V-Glide would be the pie shaped box that you don't see. It would be between the two batteries on the driver's side and the two batteries in the middle, sitting directly on top of the I-Beam.

Ok so this is what I have so what does that mean? Is this the part your telling me I need to replace or are you just using these parts to figure out what year and model cat I have

That is indeed an MCOR. I would bet that is your irregular throttle problem as they seem to be notorious for that. David can give you more and better info though.

Yes. Part number AM293101 will get you a new MCOR 4 and all the necessary brackets and adapters to make it fit. I feel confident that will fix your problem.
